The P.A.T.H. Investigators are a working research unit — Phenomena Analysis, Tracking and History. We run documented overnights in historic buildings, and we keep the paperwork that makes them worth reading.
Founded in 2026 by two researchers with borrowed meters and a key to a county archive nobody else wanted.
Every property is researched before it is sold. That rule started as an argument over a deed from 1891 and never stopped being how we work.

The unit started with borrowed meters, a rented thermal camera and a county archive nobody else wanted to spend a winter in. The first site was a shuttered schoolhouse with a leaking roof and very good deed records.
A preservation trust handed us keys to an 1891 asylum complex after reading our file on the building. It set the pattern we still use: research first, access second, guests last. As individuals and not an official group.
We stopped treating the paperwork as preparation and started treating it as the product. Chains of title, coroner's records and newspaper runs are now commissioned on their own.
A field crew began shooting the document sessions and the overnight work. The footage funds the archive, and the archive keeps the footage honest.
A researcher and a historian. Both are on site for every expedition, and both have run the baseline at least forty times.

Twelve years in county archives before he ever carried a meter. Believes most hauntings are an unsorted file, and is usually right.
Focus · Deeds, ledgers, newsprint, site timelines
A file is only worth the baseline behind it. We record the building empty, log every condition we can see, and treat a debunking as a result rather than a loss.
Reported activity is logged, timestamped and measured — never embellished.
Audio, thermal and photographic data reviewed by our research desk after every expedition.
Patterns across one seasons and fourteen sites, mapped by room, hour and condition.
Every site is researched in the archive before a single guest crosses the threshold.
